Hello, OT Enthusiast!!! Come back again with me! Hope you're all fine!

Let's talk about new topic, "HOW DOES OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY HELP?"

An OT helps children work towards independence in many different ways.

1.     Life Skills

An OT provides training, support & tools related to life skills such as toileting, dressing, feeding, play & more.

2.     Physical capabilities
This can include balance, coordination, strength, fine & gross motor skills, endurance & more

3.     Executive functioning

This includes following instructions, problem-solving, frustration tolerance, focus & other cognitive skills

4.     Sensory

An OT provides sensory support related to sensory regulation, coping skills, developing a sensory diet & other tools

Okay everyone!!!! I think that's all for today.. hope you guys have a good day! See ya later!!!

A Few Ways to Describe Occupational Therapy (OT)

Hello, OT Enthusiast! Hope you’re good!

Today,  I’m gonna tell you guys something that I know about Occupational Therapy (OT).

So here’s a few ways to describe Occupational Therapy according to Florence Clark :
  • Occupational therapy practitioners help people live life to its fullest – no matter what. They provide practical solutions for success in everyday living and help people alter how they arrange their daily activities to maximize function, vitality, and productivity.
  •  Occupational therapy practitioners are trained in the complexities that make everyday living health-promoting – physical, productive, and social activity; emotional support; motivation; feelings; and environmental resources and constraints.
  •  Simply keeping busy doesn’t keep you healthy. What you do each day impacts your health over time, and occupational therapy practitioners help people manage what they do each day to maximally health-promoting.
  • Architects build homes; we build lives – to prevent chronic disability or illness, or to enable people to get on with life afterward.
  • Occupational therapy practitioners know that hope still glimmers in the darkest hour. The realms of community reintegration, engagement in life, and doing the things that make life worth living are the focus of occupational therapy.

About me, the author.

Hello, OT Enthusiast!!

Please meet me, Adinda Silvia Setiani. Call me Dinda or anything that you want.

My hobbies are writing story and reading book.

What I’m gonna do in here is to release what I have on my head. So sometimes I just write it and maybe… don’t think twice to edit or anything. I’m so sorry that this is kinda spam. Tons of typo and grammar error! Lol..

One fact!! I’m Indonesian! I live in Purwakarta (West Java) and now I’m living in Surakarta (Centeral Java) as I go to college in Politeknik Kesehatan Surakarta. I'm an OT-student. I’m sundanese, so I can’t really do fit in with people in here since I don't even understand Javanese. (Sad L )

No more explain. Please enjoy this blog. Give me a better feedback. Love you!!
